FAQ

1. How do I send you the drawing?

After checkout, go to our Send your drawing page (the link is in your confirmation email), add your order number and upload the photo. Or just reply to the confirmation email with the photo attached. If you're ordering more than one item, tell us which drawing goes on which.

2. How do I take a good photo of it?

  • Use daylight near a window, but not direct sun. Turn off the flash.
  • Lay the drawing flat and hold your phone directly above it, not at an angle.
  • Fill the frame with the drawing and leave a little paper around the edges.
  • Send the original photo at full size (JPG, PNG or iPhone HEIC, up to 20 MB), not a screenshot. On WhatsApp, send it as a document, not a photo.
  • A scan is great if you have one, but a careful phone photo is usually all we need.

3. What do you actually change?

We remove the paper background, shadows, creases, stains and yellowing, and brighten the colours to match the original. We don't redraw, add or tidy up the artwork itself. If you'd like something specific, like removing a name written in the corner, just tell us.

4. Will I see it before it's printed?

Yes, always. We email you a proof of every order, usually within 1 working day of receiving your drawing. Reply "Approved" and we'll send it to print, or tell us what you'd like changed. Nothing is printed until you approve it.

5. What if my photo isn't good enough?

We'll tell you. If we can't get a crisp print from it, we'll email you before making a proof and ask for a better photo. We won't print something we're not happy with.

6. How long does delivery take?

Everything is made to order. Once you approve your proof, printing takes 2–5 working days, then tracked delivery usually takes 2–5 working days. You'll get a tracking email when it ships. Delivery is £4.99 for posters and tote bags and £7.99 for mugs and the Family Set, or free on orders of £60 and over. Express delivery is £14.99. We currently deliver to UK addresses only.

7. When do I need to order for Christmas?

Order and send your drawing by Sunday 6 December 2026, and approve your proof promptly, for our target UK Christmas delivery. This is our planning date, based on usual print and delivery times. It isn't a guarantee, because carrier delays in December are outside our control. The sooner you order, the better.

8. Can I return it?

As each item is made just for you, personalised items can't be returned for a change of mind. This doesn't affect your legal rights if something's faulty. If the print is wrong, poor quality or arrives damaged, tell us within 30 days with a photo and we'll remake it free or refund you. See our Refund & Returns Policy.

9. Can I use one drawing on several gifts, or several drawings on one?

Yes to the first: one drawing can go on as many items as you like, and the Family Set puts it on three matching mugs. For more than one drawing on a single item, email us first and we'll tell you if it'll work.

10. What happens to the drawing I upload?

We use your drawing only to prepare your free proof and make your order. Uploads are handled by our upload provider (Upload-Lift) and stored securely; the provider keeps files for a limited period (currently up to 30 days). We keep a copy in our own secure files for fulfilment, reprints and customer service. We never share it or use it for marketing without your permission, and you can ask us to delete it any time by emailing hello@scribbleandkeep.co.uk. See our Privacy Policy for details.
